It’s the whole crew, the banters, the antics, the laughs that make it THE most popular national comedy show. And what comes to mind immediately at the mention of laughs? Of course, Navjot Singh Sidhu’s ‘thoko taali’ and Archana Puran Singh’s infectious energy.
Sidhu last appeared on the show in 2019, but his legacy lives on. No matter who sits in the resident celebrity chair, no one can replace Sidhu. Which is why fans are eager to know for sure if he’s making a comeback!
Now, as the news is making rounds, everyone wants to know if its true or just rumours.
The Controversy and After
Sidhu and Archana have not appeared on the show at the same time. This is because Sidhu’s remarks on Pulwama attack led to a controversy, followed by his departure in 2019. The public found his comments insensitive, which sparked widespread anger. But Archana Puran Singh stepped in to fill his seat. Over the years, she received as much love as did Sidhu.

Here, Sidhu can be seen sitting on his chair, having fun with the team and delivering his unique shayari.
However, there’s a twist. This time, he is coming back not permanently, but as a special guest, along with his wife. They will be accompanied by cricketer Harbhajan Singh, and his wife Geeta Basra.
In the promotional video, Archana Singh nervously asks Kapil to tell Sidhu to leave her seat. To this, Harbhajan Singh rightly replies with a shayari, “Kursi pe koi bhi baith jaye, har koi Sidhu nahi bann jata”.
Will Sidhu Return to the Show Permanently?
Whether or not Sidhu will return permanently is still uncertain. Amidst all the political engagements, partly because of which he quit earlier as well, it is unlikely he will be back like before. Above all, Archana has been on the show for 5 years on. She has firmly established her place and has been greatly loved in her role as well. Going by this scenario, chances are rare that Sidhu will be back, but one can still hope.

Sidhu’s return to the show, even if just as a guest, will bring a wave of nostalgia. You will feel the funny and witty comments and the energetic aura once again during this unmissable moment. It will be a pure delight for fans who have been waiting to see him in the chair again.
