Introduction: RCB v/s MI Match Highlights
Match 21 of Tata IPL 2025, season 18 saw yet another most anticipated faceoff between RCB v/s MI Match Highlights. On April 7, two of the most followed franchises-Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) came face to face at the Wankhede Stadium. With big names in the cricket today all lined up and big stakes, fans expected fireworks-and the match delivered just that.
Virat Kohli led RCB, and with the bowling unit’s strong performances, they claimed a 12-run win over Mumbai. It was a gripping game and no one knew what’s about to happen until the end of the game.
Match Wrap-Up
RCB picked the bat first and delivered a competitive total of 221/5 in their 20 overs. Virat, as expected, emerged as the hero of the innings scoring a classy 67 off 42 balls, anchoring the innings with perfect control and timely boundaries.
Mumbai Indians had a big target of 222 to reach. They began their chase with fire, thanks to a solid start from Rohit Sharma. But RCB’s bowlers were no less. Even though MI paced up with Hardik and Tilak’s performance, they couldn’t surpass or even reach the target of 222 runs.

RCB v/s MI Match Highlights
- Virat Kohli’s Super Performance
Kohli looked in total command, scoring 67 off 42 balls, with multiple fours and sixes. He contributed brilliantly to the scoreboard, becoming the first Indian to cross 13,000 T20 runs in the process.
- MI’s Bowling Skill
Jasprit Bumrah was, as always, economical and threatening. He was back with the power to turn the match in a single delivery.
- Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya’s Late Push:
The young MI batters gave the home crowd hope with a stunning 56 off 29 and 42 off just 15 balls.
- Equal Competition by RCB
MI had threatened the enemy with an 89-run stand with Hardik and Tilk’s entry, but this did not stop RCB from showing off their talent. Josh Hazlewood and Krunal Pandya performed with equal might, taking two and four wickets respectively.
Conclusion
With a couple of more runs needed off the last over, MI couldn’t make it to the target of 222 runs that RCB had set for them.
RCB’s great and ambitious planning perhaps is what closed the match with the team having a 12-run win over Mumbai Indians. Kohli’s consistent innings, smart bowling and tight execution is the recipe for this win. Mumbai though had some moments of glamour, continued to search for consistency in their middle order.
The season and the weather are both heating up. With this victory, RCB can keep their playoff hopes alive. Mumbai, meanwhile, will need to regroup quickly before their next clash.
With every match being a potential game-changer, IPL 2025 is delivering high-octane entertainment just as expected.
